(I hope you're still interested. Sorry for the delay. I still feel a little on the shaky side with writing him so it held me up a bit. Feel free to change styles/tenses if you have a preference.)

It was something of a surprise when Queenie not only came to his shop, a vague sense of deja vu had come over him that first meeting -- it always was there each time he met her after. Somehow, this beautiful woman had agreed to numerous dinners and outings with him. He all felt not quite real, not quite real like finding his case full of silver that had caused him to be able to open his shop in the first place.

They're now sitting outside at a cafe, waiting for some pastries and tea. They'd already had a filling dinner earlier and went for a walk before coming upon this small cafe. The smells from inside had been too deliciously tempting. As they sit waiting, his eyes drop to her hands. It seemed inappropriate to him that he wanted to reach over and take her hand. It was hardly something that would be very seemly in public.

"One hopes their sweets taste as good as they smell?" Jacob said, but mostly to break the silence that had mostly be imposed by his own musings about wanting to hold Queenie's hand.
