[ the fondness in newt's tone is unmistakable. the nundu is a dangerous creature and one that most wizards are not only scared but terrified of. newt can understand it, to some degree — under the wrong conditions, the nundu can be devastating and lead to terrible consequences. under the right conditions, however? neither newt nor credence are in any kind of danger from this fellow. ]

I think the last time they tried to subdue one like him, they backed it in a corner and it took a hundred wizards to put it down.
