"Oh, come on," she huffed, rolling her eyes a little. "I can't even remember the last time I hit on someone. Okay, no— there was that Andorian girl, oh I don't know... five or six months before Yorktown? That was ages ago. And nothing really came of it, so."
She shrugged, though she had to wonder just how far back Bones's feelings for her went, just how much of her flirting and sleeping around he'd put up with and swallowed down for the sake of their friendship. It was something of a bittersweet thought— knowing that Bones cared for her all along, but also realizing she'd likely hurt him a great deal, even without meaning to.
Thumbs brushing up and down his neck, she slid her hands down his front, wrapping around his waist and tugging him close as she pressed the side of her face to his chest, closing her eyes with a sigh.
no subject
Snorting a laugh, he arched a brow at her. "Well, in my defense, I noticed you weren't as interested." She stopped having that look about her she usually had when she did sleep with someone and she seemed to stop the flirting that used to be like a mantra when they ran into new people. In fact, he even noticed she smelled much more like herself than a mix of strange scents she likely picked up from her trysts. "Sometimes I wonder what you would have done if I decided to go out and do that."
He wouldn't dare. Not because of loyalty to her - well, maybe a little that - but because he just wasn't the type. He did relationships more often than just sleeping around. Not that he hadn't done that, too. Besides, he spent too many nights staring blankly at reports and homework trying not to think about why he couldn't go visit her that night.
Tipping his head down as she pressed into his chest, he kissed into her hair softly. Nuzzling close, he kissed behind her ear before resting his cheek on her head. "Did you want to stay out here like this or head back to one of our rooms?"
no subject
"I'd have done nothing," she murmured, cheek rubbing a little against Bones's chest. Feelings or not, she'd have never done or said a single thing if Bones had gotten involved with anyone else in any way, regardless of how it might've made her feel. She was glad that he hadn't, though. Hypocritical though that may be of her.
Leaning back finally at the question, her lips curved into a smile, wider as she pulled away from Bones's hold and took a few steps back. "Mm, I don't know. It's nice and warm out here," said while she popped open the buttons of her shirt, tugging it off and dropping it on dry sand. Down to her bra and a white tank top, her hands then settled on the waistband of her shorts, getting those open too. "And the water looks nice. Up for a swim, doc?"
no subject
He also figured that would be the answer about him picking up partners. Jane could make one hell of a scene, but never that kind. And he liked that even if she came off callous sometimes, she had an amazing head on her shoulders for strategy.
Letting her pull away, he angled his head and watched her curiously. Only to have his eyes widen as she started to pull her clothes off. Not that he protested, he just couldn't imagine why... oh. He turned his head for a brief second to the water and snorted softly. Of course she would. "If anything tries to eat me, I'm blaming this on you."
Alien waters. Not something he wanted to deal with at night. But then, seeing her look that excited and... goddamnit he was human, alright? It wasn't like watching her strip down didn't effect him. "Fine, alright. Since you asked so nicely." Not that she really asked at all. Finally he sighed and pulled his shirt off and dropped it next to her clothes. Kicking off his shoes, he then sighed as he pulled his shorts off leaving nothing but his boxers behind. Giving her one last purposeful once over, he turned and moved toward the water with the tilt of his head to tell her to come along.
no subject
"Oh, I don't know. You're looking pretty tasty," she said in a lilting tone, her next words warm and dripping with innuendo. "But if I'm the one trying to eat you, then yeah. Guilty as charged."
Grin widening, she wiggled out of her shorts, swaying her hips a bit until the piece of clothing slid down her legs. She dropped it next to her shirt, then slowly followed after Bones, waiting until he was facing the sea and had his back turned to her. Then she took of running and jumped right onto his back, letting out a yell as she wrapped her arms around his neck from behind.
no subject
As he nearly stepped into the first few waves, he heard her coming but thought nothing of it. Until Jane was suddenly attaching herself to his back. "DAMN IT, JANE! You're still a damn spider monkey!" Even still he reached back and curled his hands around her thighs and held her up and against his back.
"You realize know that I am not letting you go now." Smirking, he continued into the water, letting those words mean more than one thing.
no subject
She laughed loudly as he barked out her name, head tipping back a little. Her legs hooked around Bones's sides, clinging close, her arms tightening as her face buried against the back of Bones's neck and ear.
"Mmm, good... just as planned," she chuckled, teeth nipping lightly at the skin behind his ear, smoothing over it with a faint lick. Then she tapped at his thighs with her heels, her voice louder. "Giddy up!"
no subject
"Planned?" He should've known asking was irrelevant. Especially when she was pressing against his neck like that. A soft gasp left him along with a sound in his throat he didn't mean to let escape. Shit, but that felt amazing. Shivering sharply, he turned his head and pinched her thigh. "You know, there are a million innuendos that go with comparisons to horses." And he stopped his mind right there.
Moving deeper into the water, he waited till the waves licked at her thighs before stopping. He was never much of a beach goer. He preferred lakes and pools, but he knew if he'd follow Jane into space, stepping into an alien ocean couldn't be so horrible. "And where exactly do you expect me to gallop off to, darlin'?"
no subject
"Mmhm," she said in way of answer, lips curving into a pleased and knowing smile at the way he gasped. She let her mouth linger where it was, right against the shell of his ear. "Then I'll be nice and save you the embarrassment of saying them all out loud myself."
The temptation was there, to be honest. But if she teased the doctor too much she had a feeling they'd end up screwing right there on the beach and she was not a huge fan of getting sand in all kinds of strange places.
"Into the water! Come on, Bones, these waters are more peaceful than the Pacific's. And I hear there are glowing fish nearby at this time of night. Supposed to be really pretty."
no subject
He was almost thankful that the water was cool enough to knock some of the heat off of his arousal. "Bossy." He snorted at her and moved further out into the water. "Promise you, I will complain for months if I get chewed on by anything in the water." But he still moved forward into the water.
Slipping his hands away from Jane's legs as they got deeper in the water, he knew he would need to be able to tread water as the waves lifted him up with each roll to the shore. After a moment, he smirked and dropped them both under the surface and popped back up with one hand slipping over her arms about his neck. "So where are your glow fish?"
no subject
"You always complain for months about everything," she said in a lilting tone, grinning and wiggling just so as Bones moved them into deeper water. Her hold loosened as he lowered them both underneath the surface, one arm unwinding from around his neck so she could wipe the water off her face once they resurfaced.
Slowly she moved around Bones until she was facing him, arms settled loosely over his shoulders. Leaning in to kiss him softly, she nipped at his lips before pulling away completely, taking a few steps back along the bottom of the sea before turning around completely and diving head first, disappearing underneath the surface.
no subject
Leaning in to kiss her in return, he lowered his lashes almost closing his eyes as he licked at her lips and made a soft sound as she nipped his own. When she pulled back, he let her go, hazel eyes following her movement even as she dove under the surface. Letting out a soft sigh, he tipped his head back to look up at the darkened sky. He preferred the stars from planet side, but he rather see their stars than the alien constellations overhead.
Sinking down under the water one more time, he resurfaced and swept his hair back causing it to spike at awkward angles. His ma would laugh at him if she could see him now. On an alien planet and with the one girl with a wild hare for adventure. She liked Jane a lot. She'd likely be damn thrilled to find out Leonard finally spoke up and did something about his 'mopin' as she called it.
no subject
She didn't swim too far, staying underneath the surface as she circled back around and swam back to where she figured Bones was. It was dark, though, and she had to blindly pat around in the water until she felt the side of a leg, then she grabbed it and tugged hard, pulling Bones under the water just briefly.
She broke the surface along with him, snorting and laughing loudly even though she knew he'd probably panicked for a moment there. Maybe it was a little mean but... well, no harm done. And no weird alien creature bit him, so.
no subject
An indignant yelp left him before he fell into the water. Though, the stream of bubbles that left him under water likely was a very loud and obnoxious "god damn it!" that no one would hear. When he resurfaced pretty quickly, he knew the actual 'thing' grabbing his leg had been Jane. Not that it saved him that initial panic and shock.
"For the love of god, Jane! Are you trying to give me a heart attack!?" Without thinking once about it, he shoved a splash of water at her face and scowled. "You damn brat. You're gonna be the death of me."
no subject
"That was so... priceless," snorting, she giggled again. Evidently she wasn't the least bit apologetic about the whole thing. "You're such a wuss sometimes. I told you these waters are perfectly harmless. This is a resort planet, for crying out loud." Any animal even remotely dangerous was kept at a safe distance from the shore, so really there was no need for him to be panicking like that.
Arm snaking around his shoulders, one of her legs lifted up, folded knee brushing along his lower thigh. "Don't tell me you're gonna be mad at me over that."
no subject
In all honesty, he didn't look up the flora and fauna of the planet because he hadn't really planned on spending that much quality time with either. Swimming at the beach hadn't occurred to him. Not till she asked him to go with her. Sighing softly, he moved both hands to curl about her waist softly.
When her leg rose, he slipped that hand from her waist along the curve of her hip to skim the line of her thigh. "'Pends. What would you do to make up for it?"
no subject
Her foot grazed lightly along his calf, lips stretching into a playful smile, an elbow propped on his shoulder as she folded her arm enough to be able to run her fingers through his wet hair.
"I guess... anything you want me to," she purred softly against his lips, tipping her head so her lips ghosted across his teasingly. "You tell me how I can make it up to you."
no subject
Not when he felt a shiver crawl up his spine as her foot grazed his calf. Tipping his head into her fingers, he let his hand drift to cup under her thigh and knead the muscle softly. Leaning in closer, he kissed her lips just a soft sweet peck before pulling back just a bit.
"Anything? That's a broad interpretation, sweet heart." His other hand lifted up to cup her face gently, not breaching that gap this time and just reveling in the whisper of her lips on his. Humming a low sound, Leonard let his eyes lock on hers. "Honest to god, Jane, all I want is you."
no subject
That was part a flirt, part a tease at Bones's expense. But really, the doctor could be such a worrier sometimes. Granted, Jane could often get him to let it go, and she figured this would be a fairly easy situation in which to pull it off.
"Wish granted," she said in a light but warm and honest tone, smiling a little softer as the tip of her nose brushed across his cheek, then she planted a kiss on his jaw. Her lips were about to trail lower when a faint glow in the water next to them caught her attention.
"Oh— look!" She pulled away just enough to look at a couple of luminescent fish swimming up to them. They seemed friendly enough and not too afraid, so she reached a hand out towards them, the light illuminating her fingers. "My little friends are here."
no subject
Opening his eyes slowly again to blink at her quietly, he huffed a breath at her declaration of his wish being granted. "You're making it very hard for me to keep this entire moment kosher so to speak." Cause with each little touch and kiss he wanted to move her somewhere he could just have her.
Lucky for him, she got distracted by the fish slipping through the water around them. Tipping his head to watch them, he traced his eyes down Jane's arm into the water. He didn't stop her, but he did watch with a slightly wary eyes as his arms wrapped about her waist lightly. "They're beautiful." They were. He wasn't lying.
In the dark, they lit up the water like a colorful light show, painting shifting patterns of light and shadow over Jane's face when he looked back at her and smiled slowly. "But I mean... there are things far prettier here to look at."
no subject
The fish drew some of her attention away, though, at least briefly, and for a while she seemed marvelled by how brightly they shone on the water, a few more showing up, their glow lighting up the water all around them. She wasn't wary or afraid, though. The natives spoke of the fish like some sort of tourist attraction, so Jane figured they weren't even the least bit dangerous.
Her gaze shifted back to Bones when he spoke again, eyebrows slightly raised, expression softening into a warm smile as she ducked her head a little. "You sweet talker, you." Not that she was all that surprised, but it was especially nice to be on the receiving end of Bones's ridiculously romantic ways.
no subject
Leonard smoothed his hands down to cup her ass and press her against him as he idly wondered liked being that close to him like he liked being close to her. Unlike her, his 'eagerness' was obvious as his arousal press against her. Something he tried to ignore as his eyes trailed after one of the fish and her hands as she reached for them.
"Oh? You thought I mean you. I meant the water. Looks mighty pretty with all the lights goin' off under the surface." He sent her the most smug grin he could muster as he sent her a wink. But he did mean her. Damn it all if he didn't mean her. Chuckling softly, he leaned in and nipped at her ear. "They got nothin' on you."
no subject
She did gasp, but it was a sound of feigned offense at his words instead, and she swatted a few drops of water at his face. "You ass!" She snorted right after, though, shaking her head as she wrapped both arms around his neck again, her smile softer at his next words.
"You're a damn gooey romantic, Leonard McCoy," she teased a little, her other leg floating up and curling loosely around Bones's waist. Though not her intent at first, the shifting of her body had her hips rocking very faintly against his bulge, drawing a soft gasp from her. "I think... you should get me out of here."
no subject
Unless he accidentally slipped while he talked about her to someone else.
Dropping both hands to her hips, he slipped them down the length of her thighs and suddenly tightened his grip as she shifted and rocked against him. Drawing in a sharp breath, he closed his eyes and dropped his head on her shoulder. It took a conscious effort to ease his hold on her thighs as he came down off that shock of sensation. "Damn it, Jane... Tryin' to make me crazy?"
Forcing his breathing to even out, he leaned back to catch Jane's eyes quietly. Finally he tipped his head to bite lightly at her lower lip. "Is that a request to go back to one of our rooms, darlin'? Or is there somethin' else you have in mind?"
no subject
Smile stretched to a grin as she chuckled, though a little breathlessly, her arms unwinding from around his neck and her hands sliding down to his shoulders, holding on there. "Sorry," she said while at least having the decency to look mildly apologetic. "For what it's worth I'm driving myself crazy too."
But she was never one for wasting time (or a good opportunity), so she let her legs drop from Bones's sides, feet touching the sand as she reached for one of his hands and tugged him along. "Well, I was thinking of one of our rooms," she shrugged, raising an eyebrow at him as they slowly trudged along the sea and towards the beach again. "You're the one who seems full of ideas."
